When my friend Tommaso asked me to accompany him on one of his tours last year I was really excited but also a little apprehensive, “would I enjoy Tuscany as much if I wasn’t making my own arrangements? I’m not used to keeping to a schedule so would I be exhausted by dinner time?” Now of course I didn’t tell him any of this, I wanted to experience this tour as if it was my first time.
I was so pleasantly surprised! Not because I didn’t fully trust my friend but because I didn’t realize a tour could be so fun and entertaining! He taught us songs in Italian while we were driving, showed us the best spots to grab a gelato and the best places to stop along Chianti Roads for perfect photo ops. If you want to spend a little more or a little less time at one location, it’s totally fine. If we came across something else really interesting like a festival or a market, we would make a detour and check it out. He will sense the vibe of the group and adjust accordingly. And I learned so many new things on that trip, a visit to a pasta factory gave me a lesson in gluten I didn’t know I needed! After I returned home I knew I had to start marketing this tour, I feel like if you don’t take it you are missing out on so much. I have booked some others on this tour and below is what they had to say about it:
“TomBek Tours made my stay in Italy one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had! They went over and above what a normal tour guide would do. Tommaso personalized our tour to suit our needs. I will definitely go back and book with TomBek Tours to see more of Italy.” -Connie Wegman Seattle, Washington
“First Impressions Count; From the moment we booked our trip through Dionne with TomBek Tours all communications were in email, the payment method is made simple, questions answered, packing suggestions, travel tips are provided. The TomBek guided tour of Tuscany is extremely packed full of the most you can possibly experience in 7 days but not overwhelming. I cannot say enough good things about our guide Tommaso Becucci. Tommaso has lived in the region all of his life and knows the very best places to visit, dine and explore. The Hotel Ristorante Bellavista Impruneta is family owned and operated for more than 100 years and is more beautiful than the website depicts. The location of the hotel is central to everything; the breakfast provided each morning is exceptional as is the Hotel Bellavista restaurant on the top floor. Dine in or out on the fairy-lighted terrace. The entire Becucci family is the best part of the experience, you are treated like family from the moment you arrive. I’m not sure another tour will ever be able to compare to this one, we’ll see…Amo la Toscana! (I loved Tuscany!)”
